1.Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Rain Tracker mobile application ("the App"). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using Rain Tracker, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you purchase a subscription, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
3.License to Use the App
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and in accordance with these Terms.
4.Premium Subscriptions and Purchases
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Rain Tracker Premium, which unlocks the full 7-day forecast and rainfall history. Free features and their limits may change over time.
- Billing. All purchases are processed by Google Play using the payment method attached to your Google account. The price, billing period, and any introductory offer are shown before you confirm a purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime in the Google Play Store (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the current paid period. Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds. Payments are handled by Google Play, and refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policies. We do not process payments directly.
- Restoring purchases. Your Premium entitlement is linked to your Google account and can be restored from the App after reinstalling, using the "Restore" option.
- Price changes. Subscription prices may change. Any change applies only to renewals after you have been notified in accordance with Google Play's rules, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
5.Weather Information Disclaimer
All weather information displayed in the App — including forecasts, radar imagery, rain alerts, and rainfall history — is supplied by third-party providers (OpenWeatherMap, Open-Meteo, RainViewer) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed. Weather is inherently unpredictable, and no forecast is guaranteed.
The App is not a safety device and must not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions, including decisions involving severe weather, flooding, travel, aviation, marine activity, or the protection of life or property. For severe-weather warnings and emergency guidance, always consult official government meteorological services and local authorities.
6.Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit weather data or content obtained through the App;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with subscription or feature restrictions in the App;
- Misuse location features, including attempting to track or determine the location of any person other than yourself;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, our servers, or related infrastructure;
- Use automated tools such as bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the App or its data without our written permission.
7.Intellectual Property
The App itself — including its design, code, logos, and trademarks — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Weather data remains the property of its respective providers. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the App to you.
8.Third-Party Services and Links
The App relies on third-party services and content, including the weather data providers named above, Google Play Billing for payments, and other services described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of those third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
9.Availability and Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. If the App is permanently discontinued, active subscriptions will not renew further.
10.Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the weather information available through the App is accurate, complete, or free of errors.
11.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, including any loss or damage resulting from reliance on weather information shown in the App.
12.Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
13.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your country or region of residence to the extent applicable, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
